Mega – eco-tourism resort for Great Keppel Island

A $600m resort project on Great Keppel Island in the Great Barrier Reef has been confirmed, making it the first new resort to be built at the Great Barrier Reef for more than 20 years. The first stage of the Great Keppel Island eco-tourism resort will include a 250 room hotel, 700 villas, 600 apartments, 250 berth marina and airstrip. Great Keppel’s existing resort will be demolished and the new project developed over the next 12 years.
