Australia’s first Madame Tussauds has opened in Sydney, based at Darling Harbour.
The attraction has been given an ‘Australian makeover’ featuring wax figures of home-grown stars amongst the international names, such as Miranda Kerr, Delta Goodrem, Hugh Jackman and Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
Each wax figure is crafted with unprecedented skill, artistry and accuracy. It takes over 800 hours of work and 20 artists to make just one wax figure.

Preparations have begun and tickets are now on sale for the Australian Open 2012 at Melbourne Park.
The tennis event, which is the biggest sporting event in the southern hemisphere and attracts 240 million television viewers worldwide, is expected to be bigger and better in 2012 and early developments are underway to accommodate this.
The Grand Slam Oval will benefit from an increase in size and improved access and revamped corporate and dining areas will be situated on the newly developed River Terrace, featuring stunning Melbourne views of the city and the river.

The golfing industry in Australia is abuzz with news that Tiger Woods will be playing at the Australian Open in Sydney from November 10-13.
