Million dollar makeover for Mantra on Kent

Sydney’s Mantra on Kent has unveiled the results of its $1.5 million hotel refurbishment, which includes  floor-to-ceiling transformations of the restaurant, 105 guest rooms, meeting facilities, the lobby and more.

The major makeover includes stylish new furniture, wide screen televisions, revamped laundries, freshly painted walls and new carpet. This is in addition to all apartments having a full kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. Each apartment has a spacious seating area, and most also have laundry facilities.

Darwin’s Mantra on the Esplanade refurbishments

Boosting its Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions segment plus is leisure appeal, Darwin’s Mantra on the Esplanade is preparing to unveil months of refurbishments later this year.

Mantra Group NT marketing manager Angie Robinson told e-Travel Blackboard at the NT Muster that the $3 million project is expected to be completed by the end of this month and an unveiling of the re-decorated property is planned for 20 April this year.

“The changes will boost our profile,” she said.

Survey shows hotel market remains positive in 2012

If you are planning on traveling, it could pay to book early as the global hotel industry remains firm.

Hotel operators across the globe are more optimistic about business trends in 2012 than they had been last year a survey has found.

The recent survey compiled by Horwath Hotel, Tourism and Leisure (HTL) which gathers responses from over 40 countries, revealed that while Asia and the US continues to flourish Europe remains flat.
